WP MAMP Manager

Manage all your WordPress sites from one location, simply click WP Manager, choose a site from the drop down list and you are ready go.

Switch themes

Change your installed theme from the WP MAMP Manager. It comes with with two pre-installed themes Flat and Dark, both displaying great and modern UI.

Installation Guide

  • Use a text editor to open the main Apache configuration file, httpd.conf, which is located at: Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/httpd.conf
  • Scroll to the bottom of the file and locate the following lines

    Change:
    Virtual Hosts
    #Include /Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf


    TO

    Virtual Hosts
    Include /Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf

    Remove the hash (pound #) sign from the beginning of the line that begins with Include
  • Save the File
  • Locate on the Dock the Finder app
  • Right click & select Go To Folder
    and paste the following:
    /private/etc/hosts
    • Right Click the file
    • Select Get Info
    • Click the lock icon on the bottom right corner to make changes to the file
    • Click the + icon on the bottom left corner to add your username
    • After your user has been added set the Privilege to: READ & WRITE

Configuring MAMP

Step 1

  • On finder go to /Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/extra/
  • Right click httpd-vhosts.conf and select > Get Info
    Click on the lock icon in the lower right corner of the Get info box.

    Then click the plus sign [+] to add a new user > Add you current
    user and make it have Read & Read permissions.

    Click the lock icon to save your changes and close the window.

Step 2

Open MAMP and click on Preferences
  • Click on the Ports tab
  • Use the configuration settings on the left and click OK to save the changes (if you encounter any issues after making this changes see our wiki pages)

    Click On Stop Servers and then Start Servers

Install WP MAMP Manager

  • Download the latest build

  • Un-zip and rename the folder to wpapp
  • Copy the folder to /Applications/MAMP/bin/mamp/

    The structure should look like this:
        /mamp/
          |
          |---- /wpapp
          |      |
          |      |-- index.php
          |      |-- manage.php
          |      |-- documentation.php
          |      | --/core/
          |
          |-- (other files and folders)
        
  • Open your favorite browser.
  • Paste the following http://localhost/MAMP/wpapp
  • You should be able to see the app now
